Seven Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) students of the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) completed their On-the-Job Training (OJT) under the AgroStudies Program batch 2019-2020 in agricultural farms in Israel.
The following students are: Kelly Jay R. Derequito, Jan Kristian Dela Cruz, and James Michael R. Tiongson, BSA major in Animal Science who were assigned at Yinon Manor Farm; Joel A. Roselo Jr., also a BSA major in Animal Science who was assigned at Masu’dt Itzhak Farm; Limuel N. Rebogbog, BSA major in Crop Science who was assigned at Efrat Tlalim Farm; Raphael C. Villanueva, BSA major in Agricultural Extension and April Gay C. Isturis, BSA major in Crop Science who were both assigned at Champinion Mushroom Farm.
With the guidance of their OJT advisers, Dr. Elsa I. Abayon and Prof. Ma. Rema B. Lauron, the said students were deployed on September 2019.
The students made a courtesy call today, November 11, 2020 with ASU President, Dr. Emily M. Arangote following their arrival last October 2020. In the meeting, the students shared their experiences and learnings as well as the challenges they faced in the duration of the OJT.
This is the second batch of BSA students who conducted their OJT under the Agrostudies Program in Israel.
